Our Journey
With the spirit of Ideas Worth Spreading, TEDxNIT Calicut has long been a stage where experiences, insights and knowledge come together to inspire a change. Our journey began over a decade ago and since then the stage has continued to grow and evolve.

Finding Our Voice
This event designed to foster dialogue rather than just showcase one-way presentations. Building on the momentum of the previous edition, It was used to reconnect current students with the alumni network, in an exciting open-mic Salon format. While not a full scale event, 2014 was instrumental in establishing TEDx as a major, impactful event at NIT Calicut, besides introducing a curious, active student populus to the most popular speaking platform in the world!
Breaking Boundaries
The second main event of TEDx NITCalicut carried the momentum forward spectacularly; this event included and evermore diverse lineup of speakers, including a much awaited return of our esteemed Alumni Mr. Musthafa PC (Co-founder of iD Fresh Food) and Mr. Paul Alex, Co-founder of Hound Electric, along International corporate trainer-coach Mr. Animesh Gupta and Internationally recognised student delegate Mr. Ankur Thakaria, a protégé of former U.S. Vice President Al Gore. The conclusion of this event and it’s success firmly established NIT Calicut as a force to be reckoned with in TEDx circles; a legacy we hope to carry forward with our latest edition.

There are no facts only interpretations
The theme was inspired by Nietzsche’s quote, “There are no facts, only interpretations.” The mission of the event was to demonstrate how changing our perspective can transform the entire narrative, revealing an entirely new way of understanding the world.
